Turning a prescription into glasses that work

A new prescription is only the starting point. For glasses to feel right in daily life, the lenses, frame and measurements all need to work together. We use a short lifestyle questionnaire to understand how you spend your time, including reading, driving, screen use, work, hobbies and how often you'll wear the glasses. From there, we translate the prescription into a complete pair through lens selection, frame compatibility checks and accurate dispensing measurements such as the distance between the eyes and the position the lenses will sit within the chosen frame. That attention helps the finished glasses reflect your real visual tasks, not just the numbers on the test chart.

Lens choices shaped by daily use

Single vision, varifocal, Transitions and blue-light-protection options can all be discussed as part of the dispensing process, but we only recommend them where they fit how you'll use the glasses. Independent advice matters here, because the best lens choice depends on your prescription, wearing pattern and expectations. Once your order is complete, we'll contact you and carry out a final fitting at collection, checking vision, comfort, alignment and secure positioning together. That means you leave with glasses that have been measured, matched and adjusted properly, rather than collected as a finished product with the important details still untested.

Frequently asked questions

How are lenses chosen for a prescription?

We start with the prescription, then look at how you use your vision each day. Reading, driving, screens, work and hobbies all influence whether single vision, varifocal, Transitions or other options make the most practical sense for you.

Do frame choice and measurements affect the result?

Yes. The frame must work with the prescription, and measurements such as eye spacing and lens position need to be taken carefully. Those details help align the lenses properly so the finished glasses feel clearer and more comfortable to wear.

What happens when completed glasses are ready?

We'll contact you when the order is ready, then carry out a final fitting and check. That lets us assess comfort, alignment, secure positioning and vision together, rather than handing over the glasses without seeing how they sit and perform on you.
