Eye tests in Park Gate tailored to how you live

Five clear stages. £40 sight tests. Findings explained in person.

Why a personal eye test helps

Five stages, one visit

We move from history to examination, explanation and eyewear choices without rushing you.

Checks beyond sharp vision

We also assess eye health, including the back of the eye, to build a fuller picture.

Next steps made simpler

If your prescription changes, we take the details needed for well-matched lenses.

A full check of sight and eye health

When reading becomes tiring, distance signs look less clear or something about your vision simply feels different, an eye test should do more than give you numbers on a page. We begin by understanding your lifestyle, hobbies, general health and any symptoms that matter to you, then assess both visual clarity and the health of your eyes. That includes checks at the back of the eyes for early signs of eye conditions and wider health concerns. We explain what we find in plain language, answer questions as we go and, if your prescription has changed, guide you into the next stage of choosing suitable eyewear.

Clear answers and practical next steps

Our sight tests are £40, and digital retinal photography is available as a separate £10 enhancement if you'd like a more detailed image record. The appointment follows a joined-up five-stage path, from understanding how you use your vision to explaining the findings and taking tailored measurements where new lenses are needed. If nothing has changed, you'll still leave knowing where you stand. If your prescription has altered, we'll help you choose frames and lenses around reading, driving, screen use and day-to-day comfort rather than leaving you to work it out alone.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an eye test cost?

Our sight tests are £40. During the appointment, we assess both vision and eye health, explain the findings clearly and discuss what they mean for you. If you'd like digital retinal photography as an added record, that is available separately for £10.

Does the appointment check eye health as well as prescription?

Yes. We assess how clearly you see, but we also examine the health of your eyes, including checks at the back of the eye. That wider view helps us talk through any changes we see and advise you on the most suitable next step.

What happens if a prescription has changed?

If your prescription has altered, we don't stop at the test result. We'll explain the change, discuss how it affects daily tasks such as reading or driving, and help you choose frames and lenses that suit how you use your vision.
